The Boise State men’s basketball team came up short in a battle between the Mountain West Conference’s top two teams.
No. 24 Nevada held Boise State without a basket for the final 2 minutes to secure a 77-72 win Wednesday night at Taco Bell Arena. The loss ended the Broncos’ 13-game home winning streak.
Chandler Hutchison had two open looks at the basket in the final minute, but the senior’s jumper in the key and a 3-pointer from the corner both missed.
Nevada then made 3-of-4 free throws in the last 10 seconds to escape with the victory and maintain its hold on first in the conference standings.
