Utah State forced 16 turnovers and went 5-for-5 from the field in the final 3 minutes Saturday night to beat Boise State 71-65 and knock the Broncos out of first place in the Mountain West standings.

Sophomore guard Kobe McEwen finished with a team-leading 23 points and made one of his five 3-pointers with 1:08 left in the game to give the Aggies some cushion.

Chandler Hutchison scored the Broncos’ final 11 points and finished with 28 points and six rebounds, but he also had four turnovers and zero assists.

The Broncos scored the first points of the game on a driving hook from Hutchison and never trailed on their way to a 34-27 halftime lead.
