Young talent eager to replace experience on Michigan State line

The college football season comes to a conclusion Monday night in Arizona. Michigan State came up a game short of playing in the national championship game, so the Spartans are spending their week thinking about what it will take to get back to the playoff in 2016.

Attrition hits East Lansing hard this offseason. Mark Dantonio’s program is set up for players to peak in their final season of eligibility, which means veterans and starters need to be replaced each year. The defensive line, the one group that consistently competed with Alabama during the 38-0 semifinal shutout at the Cotton Bowl, will be hit as hard by roster turnover as any spot on the team.
