Young Bucks: Names to know before Ohio State hits national stage at Oklahoma

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- All along, Urban Meyer had made the distinction clear when he publicly evaluated his roster.

The Ohio State coach couldn’t deny that his roster was loaded with youth, and he never even tried. But time after time, whenever he was asked about all the draft picks who walked out the door and the huge number of first-time starters he would be breaking in when the season opened, Meyer emphasized that a lack of experience shouldn’t be confused with a lack of talent.

But even though he dropped plenty of hints that he knew what his young Buckeyes might be capable of this season by repeatedly drawing parallels to the 2014 national-title winning squad, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t relieved and ready to crack some jokes after finally seeing it in person once the season started.
