Wisconsin QB Joel Stave likely to play after sustaining 'strange' head injury

MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin quarterback Joel Stave is used to processing information quickly when plays and formations are signaled in from the sideline. It is one of the more important, and often overlooked, elements to thriving in the heat of battle during games.

But when Stave stared at his teammates in the huddle late in the first quarter against Illinois last Saturday, something was different. Something was off. For a reason Stave couldn't quite understand, he believed Wisconsin's personnel didn't match up with the play-call. Badgers coaches soon called timeout, and Stave left the game to be evaluated for a head injury.
