MADISON, Wis. -- When Wisconsin running back Corey Clement sees a sliver of space on the field -- any crease in the line of scrimmage, really -- he wants so badly to break through. The problem is that Clement hasn't always maintained faith in the steps required to reach that point.
All of it led Badgers running backs coach John Settle to offer a blunt assessment this week on the bulk of his top tailback's carries thus far.
"Not a lot of patience," Settle said. "He doesn't trust the system a lot of times."
Clement spent Wisconsin's bye week attempting to correct some of those early-season flaws through a bevy of film study sessions.
