There's really no nice way to put this: 2015 was a disaster for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Not only did Rutgers win just four games and miss out on the postseason, but off-field incidents and questionable coaching decisions defined the year. Former coach Kyle Flood was suspended for inappropriately contacting a player's professor, former athletic director Julie Hermann once again still curiously extended her support, and multiple players were arrested in connection with alleged crimes from home invasion to assault.
Thankfully, for Rutgers fans, that's now all in the past. Gone are Flood and Hermann, replaced by Ohio State defensive coordinator Chris Ash and new athletic director Patrick Hobbs.
