Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio knew he would feel one of two ways about his team following Saturday’s game against Indiana. Either the Spartans would win and Dantonio would tell them they had earned a week without practice, or they would lose and he wouldn’t want to see them. No matter the result, Dantonio said Michigan State would be tucking its pads away for a much-needed rest this week.
The team’s reaction, according to receiver MacGarrett Kings Jr., was "Thank God."
Kings said he had a few bumps and bruises from the first eight weeks of the season, but he’s among the lucky ones on Michigan State’s roster who has yet to miss time with an injury.
