Oregon and Nebraska will meet on the field in Lincoln this weekend, but that likely won’t be the last time the two programs battle it out this year. Cornhuskers head coach Mike Riley is very familiar with Oregon’s plan on the recruiting trail, having watched the Ducks turn into a recruiting power during his time at Oregon State by repeatedly reaching into California for top prospects, such as De’Anthony Thomas, Arik Armstead, Royce Freeman and others.
Now, with the name brand of Nebraska behind him, Riley and his staff seem comfortable going head-to-head with the Ducks, as well as numerous other programs, for California talent.
