Ohio State Buckeyes Fail To Prove They Belong

The Ohio State Buckeyes are the first ever College Football Playoff national champions, but they won’t be the second. Poor play calling and the lack of a run defense doomed the Buckeyes at home against Michigan State.

The weather was poor, and it matched the offensive play calling of Ohio State. While the Buckeyes lost their first game of the season today, former offensive coordinator Tom Herman, who is now the head coach at Houston, lost as well. Herman seems to be the biggest loss for Ohio State, as the Buckeyes managed a total five first downs against a very mediocre Michigan State defense that ranks 46th in the country.
