A contact period in recruiting started on Sunday, which means coaches will be out traveling to high schools and homes of prospects trying to seal their commitments. That is, of course, unless the coaches are trying to prepare for a big game like, say, the Big Ten Championship game.
The Michigan State football staff tweeted out a public service announcement to recruits asking the recruits to excuse the Spartans staff’s absence since they’ll be preparing for No. 4 Iowa.
The game has huge College Football Playoff implications, with the winner likely grabbing one of the four spots.
