Michigan State leaders question effort after consecutive losses

Before heading out to their Tuesday afternoon practice -- the first time in four years that Michigan State has put on its pads after two consecutive losses -- the Spartan upperclassmen closed the locker room doors for a heart-to-heart talk.

Veterans, like offensive linemen Brian Allen and tight end Josiah Price, told reporters in East Lansing that they were embarrassed by back-to-back losses to Wisconsin and Indiana. They said they were worried the attitude that helped carry them to two Big Ten titles in the past three years is slipping away from a new group of leaders.
