Michigan midseason review: Wolverines roll through friendly first-half schedule

The first half of No. 4 Michigan’s 2016 schedule was expected to set the Wolverines up well for a shot at a Big Ten title and beyond. So far it has.

Jim Harbaugh has his 6-0 team rolling through its competition at the midway point of the year. The Wolverines have the top-ranked scoring defense in the nation and the second-most productive offense. Five straight home games followed by a 78-0 blowout at Rutgers has helped pad some of those numbers.

The second half of the season includes some marginally tougher tests on the road, but perhaps not as treacherous as it may have seemed in August.
