Like usual, though, there’s still no way to hide a victory from the Buckeyes for long.
Once again, the Buckeyes showed glimpses of how dangerous they can be on offense, but the quarterback carousel continues to spin and might now be favoring J.T. Barrett. The defense had stretches of complete dominance that continue to be sprinkled with busts that allow big plays. And while that’s still good enough to extend a lengthy unbeaten stretch and keep a perfect record this season, the defending national champions again turned in a performance that just felt like it wasn’t close to the sky-high standards they have set.
