Michigan State cornerback Jermaine Edmondson, who was allegedly involved in multiple altercations with Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green last weekend, per the Associated Press (via WXYZ.com), has been granted his unconditional release from the program.
"In discussions with Edmondson following spring practice and in the weeks thereafter, it became clear that [Edmondson] wanted to play a larger role on the team," coach Mark Dantonio said in a statement, per Brad Galli of WXYZ.com. "After consulting with him in the summer, he felt it was in his best interest to finish his playing career elsewhere.
