Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press reported Cook's right (throwing) shoulder was "hanging" during the Spartans' third drive of the game.

Cook did come back in the game on the next drive, played throughout the first half and finished just 6-of-20 with 77 yards and one interception before Tyler O'Connor took over.

After the game, per Matt Charboneau of the Detroit News, Cook said his shoulder didn't "pop out" and he plans on being ready for next week's critical Big Ten showdown against Ohio State.
