Michigan State’s quarterbacks sat against the far wall of AT&T Stadium’s visitors' locker room nearly two weeks ago and lamented the end of a season and the end of Connor Cook's record-setting career.
Backups Damion Terry and Tyler O'Connor watched the three-year starter trudge off to answer questions about the 38-0 loss to Alabama. They turned to each other and discussed the end of an era at Michigan State.
"Damion just said he felt bad that’s how it had to end," O’Connor said. "It’s tough. It really is. I’m sure it’s something that’ll eat at him for the rest of his life.
