California was hit hard by programs outside the Pac-12 during the 2016 recruiting cycle, as three of the top five and five of the top eight Golden State prospects signed with non-Pac-12 programs. Pac-12 coaches hope things change in the 2017 class, but that won’t be an easy task, as battles for top California prospects include a number of Pac-12 programs, as well as national programs.
