Ohio State football is finding a home on the Sports Illustrated cover, having made it seven times in the past two-and-a-half years, and this season's preview mag is no exception.
The last Ohio team to end up on the cover of Sports Illustrated did not have a real good result.
That would be the Cleveland Indians, who ended up on one of the covers of SI's preseason baseball preview and are now in last place in the AL Central.
Whether there is an SI jinx can be debated as much as you want, but Ohio State now hopes to buck that potential trend this year as the Buckeyes are one of four teams on regional covers for SI's football preview, joining TCU, Mississippi State and Notre Dame.
