KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The little guys put more than a little scare into No. 5 Michigan State Friday night. The Spartans eventually took down Western Michigan, 37-24, but it took all four quarters to put the season’s first win on ice.

The Broncos came within 10 points in the fourth quarter before quarterback Connor Cook and freshman running back L.J. Scott marched down the field for a field goal that ended the scoring for the night.
