The reminders of Bo Schembechler and the impact he had on his football program, his school and his town are easy to spot in Ann Arbor.
His statue stands outside the building named after him on State Street. Pictures of his snarl tucked beneath a Block M ball cap are hung on walls in personal shrines inside homes in local neighborhoods. His mantra -- "The Team, The Team, The Team" -- is borrowed by businesses around campus, and restaurants use his name to sell sandwiches. But when the Michigan faithful need to talk to Bo, and not just feel the influence he had on his adopted home, they find him at a nondescript bend in the trail winding through Forest Hill Cemetery.
