MADISON, Wis. -- The legend of "three-sack Jack" did not exist last season on the afternoon of December 30. As Wisconsin prepared to play USC in the Holiday Bowl, Badgers linebacker Jack Cichy was simply trying not to let his spirits sag.
Cichy knew he would have to watch the first half of his team's bowl game from the locker room as penalty for a targeting ejection -- and NCAA mandated suspension -- stemming from the regular-season finale against Minnesota. As the second half approached, he tried harnessing his nervous energy so he might make an impact on the field.
