There's a decent chance that some Big Ten teams could win for losing this season.
The league is running a serious shortage of bowl-eligible teams with two weeks left to play. Seven Big Ten teams have reached the required six-win threshold for the postseason, but that leaves three open bowl spots if the league puts a team in the College Football Playoff -- four if it happens to get two in the New Year's Six bowls plus the playoff.
Several teams are still alive in the quest for six wins, including Nebraska (5-6), Indiana (4-6), Minnesota (4-6) and Illinois (5-5).
