NEW YORK – Xavier forward Tyrique Jones has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Villanova forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl has been selected BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Jones was a force in the Musketeers’ win at 10th-ranked Seton Hall. Robinson-Earl wins the award for a fourth straight week.
BIG EAST Player of the Week
Tyrique Jones, Xavier, F, Sr. – Jones averaged 16.0 points, 16.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks while shooting 77.8 percent from the field in a 1-1 week. In a 74-62 win at first-place Seton Hall, the senior made 9-of-10 shots from the floor and scored 19 points.
