CAYCE, S.C. – No. 1 seed Xavier won the women’s tennis championship bout, 4-1 over No. 2 seed DePaul on Monday afternoon at the 2021 BIG EAST Tennis Championships Presented by JEEP. Musketeer sophomore Anna Roggenburk earned Most Outstanding Player honors.
It was the first tennis championship title for Xavier, which has finished as runner-up in 2014 and 2016.
The Musketeers improved to 17-3 on the season and will represent the BIG EAST as the automatic qualifier at the 2021 NCAA Tennis Championships, which will be held at the U.
