A couple weeks back, the Xavier Musketeers became the first Big East team to announce their 2019-20 nonconference basketball schedule.
The schedule, anchored by the annual Crosstown Showdown with Cincinnati (Dec 7) features four high-major teams, plus the Charleston Classic (Florida, Buffalo, Miami, UConn, St. Joseph’s, Towson, Missouri State), so the Musketeers have plenty of opportunities to rack up good wins in the nonconference slate.
Also of note, Xavier will not be in the Gavitt Games this year. This is the second of the Musketeers’ two allotted Gavitt Games absences, so they will be in the series for its remainder.
