Following yet another exciting week of Big East play, the conference handed out its weekly awards on Monday morning. Once again, the awards are bound for Cincinnati and Jamaica, Queens as Xavier Musketeers forward Trevon Bluiett and St. John’s Red Storm guard Marcus LoVett are the recipients of the Player and Freshman of the Week honors respectively.
Bluiett, a junior, wins the POTW honor for the second consecutive week after his terrific performances against Cincinnati and St. John’s. This past week, he and the Musketeers went 2-0 vs. the Seton Hall Pirates and Creighton Bluejays.
