NEW YORK – Connecticut forward Tyler Polley has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Xavier’s Colby Jones has been chosen BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Polley led the Huskies to road wins at Marquette and Butler, while Jones helped the Musketeers to victories against St. John’s and Providence.

Tyler Polley, Connecticut, F, Sr. – Coming off the bench, Polley led the Huskies to a 2-0 week. In a 65-54 victory at Marquette, the senior picked up the offense when James Bouknight was injured to score a career-high 23 points, all in the second half.
