BIG EAST Softball Player of the Week
Kaitlin Mattera, St. John's, Grad., C
Mattera led the BIG EAST in batting average with a .667 clip last week, while ranking second in slugging percentage (1.250), on base percentage (.692) and home runs (2). In the three-game series at Creighton, the graduate student recorded multiple hits in each game, including what proved to be the game-winning home run on Saturday in Game 1 of the series. Her 15 total bases on the week also led the BIG EAST.
