NEW YORK – Seton Hall forward Sandro Mamukelashvili has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and St. John’s guard Posh Alexander has been selected BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Both players sparked their teams to 2-0 weeks. Mamukelashvili was the game’s high scorer in both Pirate wins, which came on the road. Alexander helped the Red Storm beat league-leader Villanova and Providence.
