INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Five BIG EAST men’s soccer teams heard their names called on Monday afternoon during the 2025 NCAA Championship Selection Show as Georgetown, which earned the league’s automatic bid, was joined in the field by at-large selections Akron, UConn, St. John’s and Seton Hall. The five selections are tied for the most by the BIG EAST since realignment, matching the five the conference had in both 2021 and 2013.
Akron, UConn and Georgetown each earned a top 16 seed accompanied by a first round bye in the NCAA Championship, while Seton Hall earned a first round home game, as all four teams finished among the top 20 in the RPI.
