Providence upends UConn for much-needed win

The Providence Friars scored a much-needed victory on Wednesday afternoon.

The Friars took down the rival UConn Huskies at Alumni Hall, earning a 70-59 victory. PC’s victory assures them that their three-game skid came to an end, and can perhaps be a needed reprieve after a significant tumble since 2021 began.

Victories have been hard to come by for Providence since the calendar turned over. Wednesday’s win was only their third of the year, and first of the month of February. If they’re lucky, that fortune will change now, and perhaps they can reel off some more wins heading into the all important month of March.
