For the majority of Sunday night’s game, the Butler Bulldogs looked like a team that was playing their second game of the weekend.
Butler was sluggish, and seemed at least a little fatigued. Add in the fact that the Princeton Tigers were playing their first game of the season and thus incredibly fresh, and a lot makes sense.
To the Bulldogs’ credit, though. They got the job done with a 85-75 victory over their Ivy League foes.
Butler was led by Kelan Martin’s dominating 20 point, 14 rebound performance. Martin also played a team-high 37 minutes, which is an impressive feat given the fact that Butler played another game 48 hours ago.
