STORRS, Conn. – The journey continues. No. 1 Connecticut opened NCAA Tournament play Saturday with a 3-1 first round win against No. 20 Boston University at the Sherman-Family Complex. Led offensively by senior Charlotte Veitner's two goals, the Huskies pushed their 2017 fall record to 20-0.
With the win, UConn earns a spot in the NCAA second round game and will face No. 6 Penn State on Sunday, November 12. The contest is slated to begin at 2 p.m. The winner of tomorrow's contest will earn a spot in the NCAA Final Four in Louisville, Ky.
