1) Monmouth makes history with impressive victory
Entering tonight’s game, the Hawks were 0-30 all-time against opponents from the Big East conference. Monmouth notched their first win ever against Georgetown in three tries and the conference in impressive fashion. The Hawks led most of the night and did everything right on both sides of the ball.
Monmouth improved to 7-3 behind 18 points from Je’lon Hornbeak and four other players scoring in double figures for the Hawks. Justin Robinson was also solid for Monmouth with 12 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
