The Villanova senior class of Josh Hart, Kris Jenkins and Darryl Reynolds became the all-time winningest class in school history with 118 victories after the Wildcats won 66-57 at Providence. The win boosted Villanova to 21-2 overall and 8-2 in the BIG EAST. Jalen Brunson scored a game-high 21 points to propel the Wildcats. Freshman Alpha Diallo was the only Friar in double figures, scoring 18 points.
Xavier’s Trevon Bluiett hit a short jumper with 4.4 seconds left to lift the Musketeers past Seton Hall 74-72. Bluiett finished with 24 points and seven rebounds. Freshman Quentin Goodin, who made his first start in place of injured Edmond Sumner, had eight points and seven assists.
