In Wednesday’s BIG EAST action, Seton Hall and Xavier picked up wins at home. The Pirates gained their second straight two-point victory in overtime, while the Musketeers increased their winning streak to four games.
Freshman Myles Powell’s driving basket with nine seconds left in the extra period gave Seton Hall a 72-70 win against Providence. The Hall’s Khadeen Carrington scored a game-high 21 points and Angel Delgado produced his 10th double-double in 11 BIG EAST games this season with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Powell finished with 14 points. Rodney Bullock led the Friars with 19 points.
