MBB Minute -- Late Rally Lifts Marquette Past Villanova

After trailing 68-55 with just over six minutes to play, Marquette closed the game with a 19-4 run and knocked off No. 1/2 Villanova 74-72 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. MU’s Katin Reinhardt tied the game 72-72 on a 3-pointer with 1:04 left and made two free throws with 11.6 seconds remaining to give the Golden Eagles the victory.

Reinhardt finished with 19 points and Luke Fischer added 15 points. For the first time this year, Mikal Bridges was the high scorer for Villanova (19-2, 7-2), scoring a season-high 20 points. Josh Hart had 16 points, a game-high eight rebounds and three steals.
