DePaul forward Paul Reed, who was named BIG EAST Most Improved Player at the end of the regular season, posted career highs of 28 points and 16 rebounds in the Blue Demons’ 100-96 overtime win over South Florida on Wednesday in the second game of the best-of-three series in the CBI. The deciding game will be played Friday at DePaul’s McGrath-Phillips Arena. ESPNU will carry the game at 8 p.m. ET.
Max Strus scored 32 points to help the DePaul effort. His contributions were critical especially after guard Eli Cain went down with an injury in the first half and did not return.
