Creighton and Georgetown each notched road wins on Tuesday by scoring 76 points.
For the Bluejays, it was a 76-67 victory at Butler which moved Creighton past the Bulldogs and into second place in the standings with a 7-3 record. The win also gave the Bluejays a 20-6 overall record, the 17th 20-win season in the last 19 years. Butler fell to 7-4 in BIG EAST play and 18-5 overall.
Creighton outshot Butler from the floor 55.8 percent to 40.9 percent, and the Bluejays were 13-of-21 from 3-point range, while the Bulldogs were 7-of-27.
Georgetown’s 76 points were just enough to win at DePaul.
