Marquette's Farrell and Leach Take MGolf Individual Awards

NEW YORK – Marquette’s Oliver Farrell has been voted BIG EAST Player of the Year and teammate Tyler Leach has been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year in men’s golf by a vote of the conference’s head men’s golf coaches. Marquette also won BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year honors. In the balloting, the coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.

Farrell, a native of Worcestershire, England, has been the top-ranked golfer in the BIG EAST, according to GolfStat. Currently ranked 32nd nationally, he posted six top-10 finishes in nine tournaments during the year and finished lower than 15th only once.
