NEW YORK – The 12th-ranked Georgetown Hoyas extended their winning streak to three with 1-0 victory over crosstown rival No. 25 Maryland in Monday night primetime futbol action on FS1. A second half goal improved the Hoyas to 10-1-1 on the year, while the No. 25 Terps fell to 6-4-2 on the season.
The BIG EAST is 5-4-2 (.545) against teams in the United Soccer Coaches Poll Top 25 this year. Overall, the BIG EAST posts a 50-21-3 (.696) against non-conference teams. With the Hoya win over the Terps, the BIG EAST is 4-3-0 against Big ten foes.
