Jerald Gillens-Butler is leaving the Bulldogs

It’s no April Fool’s joke—the Butler Bulldogs are bidding farewell to another player, their second in just a week.

On Monday, sophomore wing Jerald Gillens-Butler announced that he will be transferring out of the program.

This past season, Gillens-Butler appeared in 12 contests for the Bulldogs, averaging just over five minutes of action per appearance. During his two years at Butler, he played in 24 games, shooting a combined 8-of-34 (23.5 percent) en route to 26 points across his limited playing time.

He was originally recruited by former Butler head coach Chris Holtmann and assistant Ryan Pedon, both of whom are now at Ohio State.
