Despite the two programs being on very different trajectories over the past few seasons, it always feels special when the Villanova Wildcats and Georgetown Hoyas face off. Two blue blood programs with a ton of history between them, it almost feels like a matchup of the Big East days of yore that everyone is always clamoring for.
Tuesday night at the Pavilion was no different. After Villanova entered the half with a 15-point lead, the Hoyas battled and chipped away and got the ‘Nova lead all the way down to two with four minutes to go thanks to strong play from Rodney Pryor (20 points, 11 of which came in the second half) and LJ Peak (21, 18 in the second half).
