The Georgetown Hoyas face off with the UMBC Retrievers in the first game of the 2020 season. The matchup is set to take place in Washington D.C. at the Hoyas’ on-campus dwelling of McDonough Arena.
Georgetown head coach Patrick Ewing is set to begin his fourth year at the helm. The first three years have been a mish-mosh, as they started off pretty strongly but have since tapered off. Last season, they sputtered to a 15-17 record and were 5-13 in Big East play. Transfers and some rifts led to many a departure, but the hope is that year four is the best one yet.
