There were simultaneous upsets in the land of the Big East on Wednesday. While St. John’s dumptrucked the Villanova Wildcats, the Georgetown Hoyas dealt a big blow to the Creighton Bluejays.
Creighton led the way 13-10 in the early goings of the game. But that would be their largest lead of the entire game. The Hoyas wrestled the advantage away from them and grounded and pounded away at the Bluejays from there. Georgetown rained down buckets and took a 44-39 lead into the halftime period. While the Hoyas were outscored 15-13 in the first 1 minutes, they erupted for 29 points in the final 10 to Creighton’s 25.
