Former Providence College stand-out was honored as part of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement events.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Providence College alumna and ESPN analyst Doris Burke Doris Burke '87, '92G, & '05Hon., was honored by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a 2018 Curt Gowdy Media Award recipient. Burke was officially honored at the Hall of Fame Reunion Reception & Dinner on Sept. 6, which is part of the organization's enshrinement events in Springfield, Mass. (Sept. 6-8).
The Curt Gowdy Media Award is named in honor of the late Curt Gowdy, who was a legendary sports broadcaster and former Hall of Fame Board member and President.
