The Xavier freshman took a bad fall in the Musketeers' first BIG EAST matchup and was transported to a hospital. Luckily, things appear to be improving.
Xavier Musketeers freshman Edmond Sumner was transported to a local medical facility after taking a vicious fall in the early goings of Xavier's BIG EAST opener against the Villanova Wildcats.
Sumner's fall elicited a state of silence from the sellout crowd at The Pavilion as the freshman point guard had to be stretchered out of the venue.
As the game wore on, updates on Sumner's condition were provided and have steadily improved.
