Although he didn’t start playing organized basketball until the eighth grade, Taj Thweatt (Wildwood, N.J./Wildwood Catholic) has quickly caught on.
More Division I programs are starting to do so as well. On Thursday, the DePaul Blue Demons became the latest to offer the 6-foot-7 wing, expanding his recruiting range back out to the midwest.
Thweatt enjoyed a standout year at Wildwood Catholic, where he was one of the top performers in the state of New Jersey, averaging an impressive 20.2 points and 10.7 rebounds. The 2020 prospect dazzles in transition and is a threat to score whenever his team runs out into the open floor.
