NEW YORK -- For the first time the 2017, a BIG EAST student-athlete has been named Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week. Keeley Davis of Creighton earns national recognition after a standout week including a 31-kill performance in a win over then-No. 10 Marquette. The rookie also earned this week's BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week award in addition to her sixth-consecutive Freshman of the Week honor.
Davis led all BIG EAST players with 4.75 kills per set, hitting .370 to help Creighton to a 2-0 road trip with wins at DePaul and then-No. 10 Marquette.
